The BIRHC is open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm by appointment, and a provider is on-call 24/7 for urgent needs.
Holidays Hours –
The Health Center is closed on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving ,
Day After Thanksgiving, Day Before or Day After Christmas, Christmas
Emergency Info
If the emergency is life threatening, call 911. Remember to stay on the line, as there will be up to a 30 second delay. DO NOT HANG UP. If a 911 call is placed, EMS will respond to the scene and the patient will be assessed and possibly transported off the Island for emergency treatment.
If the need is urgent but not life threatening, call the Health Center at 231-448-2275 and choose option 1. The call will be forwarded to the on-call provider who will assess your situation and advise on the next course of action.
The Health Center is open from 8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday (Closed 12-1 PM for lunch). Urgent patients can be seen quickly during regular hours.
